The Original Odhner (1874)

Soviet (past revolution) production

poster advertises different factories, one of them is the Dzerzhinsky factory manufacturing arithmometers.

After the October Revolution production of Original Odhner in St. Petersburg (later Leningrad) was stopped. In 1925 Felix Dzerzhinsky (head of Cheka, predecessor of KGB) moved the production to the Sushevsky manufacturing in Moscow. The factory was soon renamed to Dzerzhinsky factory. Initially pre-revolution Original Odhner Ag-like machines were manufactured there. In 1928 a smaller model was introduced (info from Timo Leipälä). According to S.Tarkhov in 1931 the production of Felix machine started.

Some calculators were manufactured under the name Kirja, Prometer, Dinamo and others.
